How do I unlock a dance?
To unlock a dance, you need access to the original dance video (e.g., from TikTok or Instagram). Open Panda Banana, tap on a locked dance, and follow the prompts to scan the QR code and verify the video. Once verified, all characters for that dance will be unlocked!
Why do I need to verify the dance video?
Video verification ensures that you have legitimate access to the original dance content. This helps us respect content creators' work while providing you with the best dance experience.
How do I record a dance video?
Once you've unlocked a dance, tap on any character to start recording. Position your phone, tap the record button, and dance along with your chosen character! The app will record your performance with the character overlay.
Where are my recorded videos saved?
Your recorded videos (takes) are saved locally on your device within the app. You can view them in the Record tab, organized by dance. From there, you can export them to your camera roll or share directly to social media.
How do I export a video?
Open any take from the Record tab, then tap the share button. You can export the full video with the character overlay, or just export the overlay to use with your own editing software.
Can I use Panda Banana without an account?
Currently, an account is required to save your progress and unlocked dances. We use Sign in with Apple to make this quick and secure, and you can choose to hide your email address.
How do I delete my account?
You can request account deletion from the Settings tab in the app, or visit our Account Deletion page. Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted.
The app is using too much storage. What can I do?
You can delete old takes from the Record tab by tapping the trash icon on any take. You can also clear the video cache from the Settings tab to free up space used by downloaded dance videos.
I'm having trouble with video playback or recording.
Make sure you have granted camera and microphone permissions in your device settings. If issues persist, try closing and reopening the app, or contact us at the email above.
